Pewter medal featuring the Crystal Palace. Hundreds of thousands of such medals were sold as souvenirs, perhaps the piece was minted in the “Minting Machines” section with the balancier press of W. I Taylor, who sold his products to visitors for 6 pence.

The first of three volumes published by a commission to inform all interested parties on the exhibits of the Great Exhibition.
